*Samaritan Inn Holiday Thanksgiving Blessing Drive: Sharing God’s Love in a Season of Gratitude*
This Thanksgiving season, Evident Faith Church had the joy and honor of extending Christ’s love beyond our walls through the Samaritan Inn Holiday Thanksgiving Blessing Drive. It was a beautiful moment of faith in action, compassion in motion, and generosity overflowing from our church family to the families at the Samaritan Inn in McKinney, Texas.
Through the heartfelt giving of our members, we were able to raise $1,000, which went directly toward blessing families at the Samaritan Inn with $25 worth of groceries each. In total, 40 families received support—families who may have otherwise struggled to enjoy the warmth and comfort of a Thanksgiving meal.
When Pastors Femi and Geneta delivered the gift packages, the Samaritan Inn staff were genuinely surprised and deeply moved. At a time when many shelters are stretched thin, this unexpected act of kindness spoke volumes. It was a reminder that God sees every need and uses His people to meet those needs at the perfect moment.
Each family received not only a grocery gift card but also a beautifully designed card with encouraging words of hope, gratitude, and God’s love—carefully prepared by members of Evident Faith Church. These small details carried a big message: you are loved, you are seen, and you matter to God.
Our pastors also recorded a short video during the presentation, capturing the joy, humility, and sincere appreciation shared by both the church and the Samaritan Inn representatives. It is a powerful reflection of what Thanksgiving is truly about—giving thanks by giving back.
As a church, we believe that faith without works is incomplete. Loving God means loving people, and this outreach stands as one of the core expressions of who we are at Evident Faith Church. This Thanksgiving, we didn’t just celebrate within the church—we made sure to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.
